Welcome to the Toddler Program at Grace Lutheran School of Conroe! Our program is designed for children between the ages of 18 months and 24 months, providing a safe and nurturing environment for young learners to grow, explore, and develop their skills.

In our Toddler Program, children will engage in a range of activities, including play-based learning, story time, music, art, and outdoor play. OVERVIEW

Toddlers are welcomed into the cheerful, spacious classroom by dedicated teachers. Each child’s belongings are stowed in an individual cubby. Toddlers experience Circle Time where learning is fun. They enjoy snacks twice a day and rest time in a quiet soothing environment. Recess is provided in the large fenced-in playground or the full-sized gymnasium.

PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS

Learning begins right away in the toddler class and it looks a lot like fun.

  • Social skills are developed through sharing and playing with friends.

  • Language and literacy development occurs through story time, conversations, direction following and dedicated language activities.

  • Toddlers learn fundamentals by recognizing letters and numbers, colors and shapes.

  • Gross motor skills such as walking, running, and balancing are reinforced through play.

  • The toddler’s spiritual development is encouraged each week through Junior Chapel where they learn songs and hear simple Bible stories.

Weekly lesson plans highlight the concepts to be taught, and your child’s progress is carefully monitored through a developmental checklist. Progress is shared with parents at conferences each semester.
