Our Programs

(I: 6 Weeks to 8-9 Months | II: 9 Months to 17 Months)

All of the youngest infants are welcomed to Grace Lutheran School with a soft baby blanket made by the Grace Lutheran Church Quilters group. A fully trained staff provides that special nurturing care so important at this stage of life. Infants will eat, sleep, and play in a clean and sanitized environment. Bottle-fed babies are held and rocked and those eating solid food are safely strapped into toddler feeding tables where they are assisted in learning to feed themselves. Children get restful sleep in state-approved cribs in a dimly lit, quiet environment, where soothing music is played. The older infants are gradually transitioned from cribs to mats, preparing them for the Toddler class.

(18 Months – 24 months)

The Toddler Group is welcomed into the cheerful, spacious classroom by dedicated teachers. Each child’s belongings are stowed in an individual cubby. Toddlers experience Circle Time where learning is fun. They enjoy snacks twice a day and rest time in a quiet soothing environment. Recess is provided in the large fenced-in playground or the full-sized gymnasium

The two-year-old children begin their learning using the Abeka Curriculum. Abeka’s preschool curriculum is a Christian curriculum that features a traditional approach to teaching and learning with plenty of hands-on activities. This curriculum turns playtime into learning time, laying a strong academic foundation that prepares each child for the next level of the educational journey. The entire program has been developed from a Christian worldview, planting seeds of faith in children all through the year. It is an age-appropriate curriculum for preschool that takes into consideration the differences in motor skills and cognitive abilities.

Three-year olds, children will begin learning using the Abeka Curriculum. (4-5 Year Olds)

The Abeka preschool program for Pre-K serves as a bridge between a preschool experience and kindergarten. Pre-K children become serious learners while socializing and having fun. The classroom experience is a bit more structured as they are offered many opportunities for both social, intellectual, and spiritual growth. Science knowledge builds by observing cause and effect. Children continue to build literacy skills through sight words and phonics.
